Rock, Why Do People Say it's Bad?

Rock music. Many people like it. But what's wrong with it that's not wrong in other forms of music? Yes, as one who likes the aforementioned music type, there are songs and artists that sing bad songs and promote sinful ideals. But so do other forms of music: country, pop, rap, etc. Rock has good songs too; not just these evil communist songs. There are many people who, for some reason, think that rock is the spawn of hell. Take the writers of A Beka books for example. They said today that rock music leads people into communism, and in the past they have blamed it for such things as political turmoil, emotional problems (i.e. depression), and health issues such as hypertension (high blood pressure). One cannot just take one form of music and say it is wholly evil just because of its past and its roots. So what if the hippies were the first to write and sing rock music, those that write and listen to it now aren't. As I said earlier, there are good songs that are classified as rock. Sure there are depressing songs, but country also has them. If you only take one form and say it is bad for one reason, well, that's like saying the entire human race is evil just because Joseph Stalin murdered millions of people. That's generalizing. These people that dislike rock (most probably haven't even ever heard any rock in there lives), they overlook the fact that other forms are just as bad or even worse. Country has songs that have a good meaning or story, but it also has bad ones. Pop, well, just look at Brittany Spears (or don't). And Rap, alot of it is bad. I won't go as far as to say that rap is bad, because then I too would be generalizing as they, because there are songs that are rap in style that I like. Now I'm not saying that everyone needs to like rock; everyone has their own opinions and taste, but I am saying that people should know what they are talking about, not just generalize or judge falsely in ignorance.
