The English Language

Our language is messed up. It's all weird and stuff. I mean, someone just took a buncha words from different languages and mixed all together and *poof* the english language. Ok, so maybe it isn't that bad, but it's pretty close. And take a look at our alphabet. Half of it is useless. Take c for example. It either sounds like a k or an s, or is part of ch. It has no special use of its own. Then there is x. It always sounds like ks or sometimes a z. Once again, no use of its own. And y. It bugs me too. It has its own purpose when used in its consonant form, but it also sounds like an i sometimes. And g steals another letter's sound even though it has its own sound because it sounds like a j manytimes. And there's q too. How come it always needs a u? Why don't we just spell things with a kwu or a k in some words. And the vowels. They all have like, a billion sounds for each one!! And not only that,they overlap all over each other! It's a crazy mess. We need to just have a letter for things like th, sh, and ch; cut c and x out of the alphabet; and make letters have only one sound each. All the vowels sould have only one sound particular to it; make new letters if need be. It would be easier to learn a larger alphabet then have to learn all of the different ways letters sound depending on what word they're in. And that's another thing. Our words are all confused. Many words sound the same and are spelled different, adding much confusion. Some words are spelled totally different then the way they are pronounced. And what's up with silent letters?! Like in island. What does that s add to the word. Or all these silent g's and h's. Our language is all messed up.

I got a new weapon. I love weapons. They're so cool. This one is a naganata, a Japanese glaive. A glaive is a spear-like weapon with a long (21 in.) slashing blade instead of a short point. The handle is about 3 1/2 feet long; a little short for a glaive, but still a polearm (polearms are weapons with long, rod-like handles and a blade on the end [e.g. halberd, spear, glaive, etc.]). It's actually a pretty good quality weapon. It's haft is solid wood painted black. It has a small amount of gold highlights, nothing gaudy or overdone; and it has a sheath. The sheath also is black painted wood, with a Japanese dragon etched into it. The weapon looks really cool. It's got a good feel to it too.

Now all I need is a scimitar (or rapier), a gladius, an axe, a dagger (or two), and maybe another shortsword or longsword. It would be cool to have a halberd, but they're really long, so it might not fit into my room. A kukri would be a cool addition to any sword collection too.

Wow, this last weekend was awesome!! Bonny came home. I got to hang out with her alot, which was cool. Yesterday was the devo, but apparently Brandon was sick (get better soon!) so he wasn't there needless to say. The singing, as a result, was not so great. I played two games of chess against Aaron... lost them both, but hey! who cares!? Yeah, that was fun. Today was ok, I guess. Didn't do any school because of the construction in the back yard. Makes it a wee bit hard to concentrate. We're adding on the the house, so they were doing the preliminary foundationwork today. I don't get a fall break, which is a bummer, and I have a paper that's do this Friday and I'm stressing about that because I'm so not ready for it. ugh. I hate writing. Well I depends on what it is I'm writing I guess. But yeah. Anyway. Got to talk to Bonny on da phone this evening like I always do. Yeah. I never imagined I would use the phone as much as I now do. It's crazy. I'm on it like, every day. Well, that's all I have now. Blog tomorrow I guess.

You know my friends, it has been many moons since I have presented a comment on life. So I am writing this blog to tell you this and to point it out. Yo. Yesterday was Wed. so that was cool. I like goin' to church and all that. Good stuff. After church we went to Claire's (not the store), played cards, baked cookies, and watched Starsky and Hutch (That's actually a pretty funny movie). That was fun. Then there's today... lets see... um, school. Then to the gym, and then some D&D with Devin and David and Dad. Had some fun there. But yeah and stuff.

I can't wait til this weekend 'cause Bonny's comin' back for the weekend. Needless to say, I'm happy about that.

sup dudes? Today's been ok. Just another day among days. Well, bear stuffing was today, and Dave's preliminary wisdom teeth appointment. Yeah. Didn't do school, even though we aren't going to take a fall break... bummer. Well, I'm going to go and finish this blog after I get off the phone with Bonny: priorities you know.

Ok, guys. This is partly the end of the above message, and partly the rundown of today. But yeah. Well, yesterday Dad and Dave and I did some practice driving at the UAH disc golf course. I can actually get some decent distance when I hold the disc right, stand and run up correctly, bring my arm around right, release at the right time, and throw strait and not up in the air... yeah, it's alot to do, but it's fun anyway!! It's not really all that hard once you get used to it. After I got back I called Bonny and got to talk to her for a while. That was nice. But yeah. Today I had a headache all morning and didn't really do school until after lunch. Oh well, it happens. After school I went to the gym. Loads of fun there. Now it's almost time to eat so I'm going to stop and go do that. Talk to all yous guys later.
