caffiene... must intake in large doses

Tis late (or early), but I thought I might post some stuff.

I'll begin with the past day for starters. Lets see, started off with the test in Comp 1000 (aka how to use the computer you already use all the time). Got it perfect. It's like being tested on how to walk... or how to breathe. Anyway, next class: Micro Econ and the test there (that was themed on Family Guy). Not sure how well i did, but I'm hoping for an A, although due to the lack of very many questions on the test (25), it might drop to a B. Then after that one, it was the Plant Prop class that I also had a test in. Yay? Well, I have to say it was my first test ever with a crossword puzzle in it... yes, I'm at a University and he puts a crossword puzzle on the test. Anyway...

Oh, re-beating Halo 3. I beat it on easy, but that's about as challenging as putting on your clothes. Did it so I could see the end of the story (although I wonder if there are alternate endings...?). Working on normal now, saving Heroic for 2 player co-op (or maybe solo if I find the motivation), but Legendary I won't touch with a Spartan Laser til I can 4-man it.
I found that there's this Forge thing that you can totally re-arrange and set up a map how you like it. The terrain will remain unchanged (say that 5 times fast), but you can add/remove weapons, grenades, equipment, power-ups, vehicles, destructible objects, and other movable things such as barrels, tables, etc. It's perty nifty. Want a map with only Molotov grenades? (and YES! there are Molotov's) Done. Want a map that's precarious with exploding barrels? Done. It's cool. It takes a while to set up what you want, but it's worth it. Plus, you can multi-player in the Forge and have each person work on stuff.

Ok, time for that sleep stuff.

cool beans

The Master Chief's (Spartan 117) armor in Halo 2 was the MJORNIR Mark VI armor. The armors below are the E.V.A. and C.Q.B. respectively.

Oh, and take note of the shoulders too. There are differences even between armors of the same type. The speculation is that you'll be able to mix and match between a few different helmets and shoulder-pieces, making each different for your own Spartan super-soldier.

and another thing, there are many more weapons added that i first thought... which is awesome. I'll skip descriptions and leave it to the game to reveal 'em. :P

finish the fight

I totally forgot (although I don't know how) to mention the missile pod thing that you'll be able to use. There's also a slight (note: very very slight) chance that they'll have a flamethrower:Although that would be cool, they might not. Here's the page link that describes they whys and why nots.

Anyways, Here's senior Master Chief and his Elite friends/allies.
And here are some Spartan pics that I edited into one picture. Oh, seeing the sniper rifle on the far left Spartan's back reminds me of another thing that I forgot to mention and is really cool, the whole able to see your alternate weapon thing.Click on the picture to enlarge :)
OH OH! next post I'll put up some pics of the alternate armors that are (I'm pretty certain) available for multiplayer! Rock somethin' wicked sweet.

sept 24, bring it on

So I had a test last Friday in economics. It made me laugh. "Made you laugh?" you might ask. Yes. The professor themed the test w/ Anchorman. There were random answers dispersed throughout like "LOUD NOISES," or "60% of the time it works every time." He also had some questions like the one using Ron Burgundy and the amount of burritos or scotch he had and the one w/ Champ and Brick and their squirrels and chocolate. It wasn't a bad test at all... Ah, if all teachers were so easy going and fun. Dr. Macy Finke is easy to pay attention and listen to while at the same time making it easy to understand the concepts and presenting them in a challenging way.

Unlike the professor that teaches my plant prop (and intro hort) classes whose name I can't remember. He gives the most info and the least details. He'll talk and talk and I don't have a clue what he's trying to drive at. He'll go off on tangents that I don't know if I need to remember or not. Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy and all; but he should not be a teacher... at all. His lack of structure makes it very hard to take notes and he speeds through the power points so fast I can't write it down fast enough. Oh well. I'll stop rambling.

I couldn't help but notice that the Patchster commented on the last post. Well here's something for you that you might appreciate (maybe the only person that would be able to. maybe Austin, not sure). In any case, in Micro Economics [the class with the awesome teacher], he was talking about utility and how much satisfaction we get out of goods, etc etc. The unit for utility is the util (pronounced YOO-dle). And all through the rest of the class (which was only a total 30ish mins long 'cause he's the best) I couldn't stop thinking about HALO and the map-- headlong I think-- with the blue grav-lift that we affectionately nicknamed The Yoodle.

ON THE NOTE OF HALO! I purchased a [halo 3 edition] 360 and pre-ordered HALO 3. Uber awesomeness is what that is. Some things that are cool:
  • The graphics rock something awesome!
  • New guns such as the laser thing, and the ability to pull a turret off the mount and use it. also the re-introduction of the assault rifle. The magnum's look has changed back to that of the first HALO pistol, so don't know how that's going to play out. There are also some brute pistol things that I'm not completely sure about either.
  • New grenades, or grenade-like thingys. The force bubble thing that puts up an impenetrable shield around you, handy in a pinch. And there's a trip mine, I think they called it that, that you can lay down and when a warthog hits... boom, dead.
  • In the campaign, when the 2nd player joins, he's no longer a 2nd master chief, but instead the arbiter. Also, if I'm not mistaken (and I'm sure that it's true for xbox live campaign), you'll be able to have 4 player campaign. And the other 2 players won't be more arbiters and master chiefs either: they will each be unique (and wicked cool lookin') elites with names and backgrounds.
  • That there's the ATV vehicle, the mongoose, is cool too.
  • ***one thing that I hope they bring back is the infinite grenades option in multiplayer, that'd be sweet 'cause I've missed no shield, no radar, active camo, grenade matches... ah the fun of HALO 1***
